Kali T Shirt
In Hindu, Kali means “time.” Kali is known as the Creator and Destroyer because everything is created and destroyed in time. Kali’s garland of skulls and a skirt of dismembered arms signify Kali’s spiritual separation from the flesh, which is transitory while she is eternal. She holds the freshly severed head of the demon king Raktabija, for even great evil is killed by time. She stands on Shiva, who represents form, because form is inert without time to move within. Kali’s lolling tongue indicates her omnivorous nature, since time eats everything.
